Our Board of Directors as well as our Ambassadors choose to serve without compensation because they view their leadership as a direct investment in our mission. Every member of the organization serves on a 100% volunteer basis, receiving no financial compensation for their time or expertise.

By volunteering their time and professional expertise, they ensure that every possible dollar is directed away from administrative overhead and towards the constituents we serve. For our team, leadership isn't a job—it’s a personal commitment to the future of our community.

Meet the Team

  • Eraaj Khan - President

    Eraaj holds a masters degree in finance and is 12X Certified Salesforce CRM Professional.

    Eraaj has also been on the board of Northwest Islamic Community Center as a Treasurer.

  • Dr Shiraz Asif - Vice President

    Dr. Shiraz Asif is a practicing dentist and a member of American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Minneapolis Dental District Society and American Academy of Sports Dentistry.

    Shiraz brings extensive experience working with multiple local organizations focused on helping impoverished communities and providing emergency assistance. His passion is to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need.

  • Shahbaz Farooqui - Treasurer

    Shahbaz Farooqi holds dual BS degrees in CIS/Software Engineering and Business Administration/Management from Indiana. He is a seasoned IT professional with deep expertise as an Enterprise Software Architect/Engineer.

    Shahbaz is passionate about community involvement and regularly participates in local projects to give back.

    Outside of his professional life, he is a dedicated leader in the local Cricket community in Minneapolis and leads a local Cricket Team. Also, he actively coaches and train youth, helping to foster the next generation of cricket talent actively.

  • Sarah Alam - Secretary

    Sarah Alam is an active community leader with significant involvement in interfaith and non-profit work. She has served as a board member for various non-profits and played crucial role in community service.

    She is a Cybersecurity expert and is passionate abouts books and poetry. She was recently nominated by National Society of Leadership and Success and is also a current member.

    Dr. Faiza Omer has a profound passion for community-driven initiatives. Her year-round involvement in various projects reflects her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. With her extensive experience in supporting social causes, Dr. Faiza is poised to help guide the organization’s strategic direction with empathy and insight.

    Drawing from her strong background in hospitals and clinical research, Dr. Faiza combines her medical expertise with a heartfelt desire to improve healthcare for those in need. In her personal life, she treasures the moments spent with her family and embraces outdoor activities, all while being dedicated to creating a positive impact through her volunteer work.
